James Dilworth, early 1900s real estate tycoon who immigrated from Ireland and founded the Auckland savings bank, originally had two buildings built to stand at the base of Queen st. It's brother is gone and the Dilworth trust no longer owns it, but still it stands as the entrance to Auckland's main street.
