Avalon Park is one of the biggest open parks in the Hutt Valley. It includes a skate park, mini golf, miniature train ride, BBQ and picnic areas, and a public hall for events. Avalon Park is well known to Hutt Residents for the boat pond, and the old wooden fortress that was standing for many years which is now gone.
