Ray Gravell was an iconic Welsh rugby player and broadcaster who spent all his career playing for Llanelli RFC. Gravell also won 23 caps for Wales and 4 for the Lions. His catchphrase 'West is Best' has been adopted by the rugby team. This statue is situated outside the new rugby grounds 'Parc Y Scarlets' on the outskirts of Llanelli.
