Norwood Tract Dog Park

City of Austin off-leash area. The property encompassed the entire tract this side of Riverside Drive and was a destination spot for the Travis Heights neighborhood. Many Austinites picnicked in the grove down the hill and learned to swim in what was Austin's first spring-fed pool (since filled in, but the outline is still visible). The bungalow itself, known as Norcliff, was surrounded by formal gardens, a "teahouse" gazebo, a split-level greenhouse, tennis courts, and other remarkable amenities.
