Community Mural Project
Huntington Station, United States
This mural was painted during March and April of 2014 at the Huntington tri cya South Huntington tri cya. Approximately 75 children, teens, and adults from the community contributed to the mural with joy and enthusiasm. Some painted the background while others drew and painted the images. Many participants added texture to the mural by incorporating personality and culturally significant patterns, designs, and images. As a result, this mural reflects the rich diversity and exquisite creativity of the community as a whole and the community as a team work. Represents anyone and belongs to everyone. The murals composition symbolizes this buildings mission as a resource center for employment and self-employment through dinner municipal cooperation. The mural was designed and supervised by Huntington artist lucienne pereira , The project was made possible by the support of the Huntington Economic Development Corporation, Huntington Community Development Agency, resistance downtowns, and JP Morgan Chase grant administered by the Huntington arts Council
