Historic Fisher Home 1870's

Hidden from the busy traffic on 5th south, John Fisher Built this house for his second wife, Harriet Knighton. Harriet told he children how she gathered rocks from the near by creek bed to add to the cement . One room was completed first, then two were added, eventually eight rooms were built. Eleven children were born and raised in the Fisher home. John Fisher was the manager of the People's Opera house and mercantile association. He was the third mayor of bountiful, county commissioner and served two terms in the territorial legislature. He had 21 children by two wives.
