North face David Wooster First Maj. Gen. of the Conn. Troops in the Army of the Revolution. Brig. Gen. of the United Colonies. Born at Strat ford, Mar. 2, 1710-11. Wounded at Ridge field, April 27, 1777, while defending the liberties of America, and nobly died at Dan bury, May 2, 1777. Of his country Wooster said, “My life has been ever devoted to her service from my youth up. Though never before in a cause like this – A cause for which I would most cheerfully risk, nay, lay down my life.”
