<center>Located in “Small Lots”,<br>Henry G. Hopper began the<br>construction of this house<br>about 1788 on a 120 acre<br>farm. Son Garret erected<br>the Dutch-style main house<br>in the early 1800’s. The<br>north frame wing was built<br>in the 1850’s for his son<br>Thomas who inherited the<br>homestead in 1872. His son,<br>Garret T., was a Glen Rock<br>founder and councilman.<br>He sold the house in 1897<br>after more than a century<br>of family ownership.</center>
