This carved cedar bench by Whidbey Island artist Pat McVay is one of two commissioned in 2007 in memory of Paul Conley after his tragic death at 18 in an auto accident, and installed on the Waverly Beach Park fishing dock. Each is a unique and distinct hand-carved depiction of Lake Washington marine life. The attached plaque reads: Paul Charles Conley - September 29, 1986-July 31, 2005 - Rest Here, Paul - For Your Love of Nature - It Is Befitting That You Are Here
