Harry Fletcher Brown Monument

Mr Brown was a chemist who developed smokeless powder. In 1904 he joined the Du Pont Company and later became a benefactor of education and social services. As a University of Delaware trustee he financed the construction of Brown Laboratory, which is a mirror image of Hullihen Hall, both of which are enlargements of Memorial Hall.
