LSC Duluth Mural 8-25-10

This mural, made of ceramic, depicts the history of Duluth, MN. The mural includes the tee-pees of the Native Americans who lived on Park Point until the end of the 19th century, the old Central High School clock tower, the Aerial Lift Bridge and the Train Depot are also depicted in the two-story, 133 ceramic-tile installation affixed to a steel framework. The historical montage includes other Duluth references and parts of the region's cultural heritage. Chinese Artist and Educator Wenzhi Zhang, who has taught at Lake Superior College as part of a faculty exchange, built the mural in four months.
