<br><center> On this day, July 3, 2009, the City of Lancaster celebrated 100 years of the beginning of Rising Park and the Lancaster Parks and Recreation Department.<br><br> Rising Park was originally dedicated July 5, 1909, following the gift of 73 acres from Philip & Carrie E.
