Fontaine St Léon
Eguisheim, France
It is a octagonal fountain, one of the most imposing of the Alsace region. The cattle came to drink there and people took water for domestic use. A statue of St. Leon is placed on top of the fountain. It was carved by a man named Hugel from Colmar and placed in 1842, funded by the Brucker family and blessed in 1880 by the canon Sattler.
