This red oxidized painted bungalow was home of Charles Mitsuji and Yukiko Yakima Furuta, two of Huntington Beach's early Japanese settlers . The Furuta home was built in the 1900's on the site of the community known as Wintersburg and is located adjacent to the Wintersburg Manse, Wintersburg Presbyterian Mission and the site of the Furuta Goldfish Farm.
