St. Mark Episcopal Church

St. Mark's was first founded in 1864, and meetings were first held at the University Chapel on Northwestern University's campus. Reverend Dr. Arthur Little raised the funds and initiated the construction for the current building in 1890, and its doors first opened in 1891. The floor plan and style were designed as "English Gothic," although several additions and renovations have occurred since then, including a Norman-style bell tower, several wings, and a rectory.
