The nearby church is also a portal, but this sign was erected by Salisbury Township in 1976 to commemorate the historical church. It was founded in 1741, rebuilt in 1819 and remodeled in 1884. Presently both Union Church and Lutheran Church members worship here. On the PA register of historical sites and landmarks.
