Twinning No. 3 Oil Well

This is a "OIL WELL" brand pumping unit circa 1920. It replaced the huge wooden beam pumping units of the 1920s and 1930s that helped create the Huntington Beach we know today. This "OIL WELL" was driven by a 25 HP electric motor and pumped oil 24/7 for over 50 years.
