The Ram
Costa Mesa, United States
A 20-foot-tall, 7-ton, bright yellow, steel abstraction created by Charles O. Perry in 1979. Located between Park Tower and the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel, it was the first public art piece installed in the area. Inspired by animal horns; the piece rises skyward at a slant. The Ram's triangular volume then dips back down again before completing its airborne gesture.
