Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center contains history and other information of the Carson Valley and surrounding area. Frederick J. Delongchamps, architect Carson Valley museum and cultural center Completed in 1915 this building served as the Douglas County High School until 1958. Designed by the famous architect Frederick J. Delongchamps, the school was built at the same time is the Douglas County Courthouse on 8th Street in Minden. The building was restored by the Carson Valley historical society and today serves as a museum and cultural center. The Douglas County High School building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
