This Robot Slide was installed as part of the original construction of Santa Clarita Park in 1968. As a result of updated play equipment safety regulations, the Robot Slide was enclosed in 2006, ending an era of play on the beloved structure. The City of Santa Clarita acknowledges the significance of the Robot Slide to the community, and has preserved it as an "art element," as part of Santa Clarita Park's Playground Renovation.
