Who Played Here First

Could prehistoric Indians have played in Fenton City Park many years ago? Evidence suggests more than 1,000 years ago, this land was home to a tribe of semi-nomadic Indians of the Archaic Phase culture. Other artifacts found relate these people to the Sedalia Phase culture which dates to 2,000 to 3,000 B.C. The field before you has been designated an archeological site by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. It is protected by the Historic Properties Act of 1966.
