The Marinette train depot was constructed by the Chicago Milwaukee in St Paul railroad in 1903 place in earlier Depot which dated to the early 1880s. The depo is a one story Queen Anne style structure with a rectangular plan. Known as a combination station, the Marinette Depot was constructed to provide shelter two passengers, freight, and train control under a single roof. Designed by architect J. U. Nettenstrom, standardized Depot plans work on in small rail Road towns. The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. In 2003 the building was moved from original location to it's present location: to avoid demolition.
