NEUTRAL
Ottawa Gate
Toledo, United States
Robert Fessler, John Squire & David Black, Ohio 1994 Aluminum & Brick Like a cloud-topped gazebo, this sprawling installation changes with the light and time of day, casting sinuous shadows and dramatically announcing the main entrance to Toledo’s premier city park. Inspired by a Victorian Conservatory that once stood in this centennial greenspace designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, it also suggests a Native American thunderbird.
