Historical marker commemorating the former brick making facilities and clay deposits of Verplanck. Verplanck was able to produce 9000 bricks a day by hand. When brick making machines were introduced, output increased to 60 million bricks per season. There were ten brickyards in Verplanck during the 60 years of brick making in Verplanck.
