Built in 1924, the Renton Theatre was originally intended for vaudeville shows. However with the growing popularity of the moving picture, it was quickly converted to a movie house. Such it remained for the majority of its existence, until Renton Civic Theatre moved in in 1987. Since then, RCT has been dedicated to bringing quality live theatre to beautiful downtown Renton.
