The Citizens Bank, whose legal name is The Citizens Savings Bank, is the only locally owned and operated commercial bank remaining in Martins Ferry and Belmont County. This is the current corporate headquarters of the Bank and it's holding company, United Bancorp, Inc. The structure was erected in 1983 and opened for business on February 21, 1984. The building was designed in the Colonial style, in keeping with the style used at the Bridgeport and Colerain offices a decade before.
