St Michaels Church New Malton
Malton, United Kingdom
Sitting at the heart of the market place sits St Michael’s Church with earliest records from around 1150. Malton is an unusual village which has developed around two centres, which may have lead to two main churches. A ‘Castle Centre’ where houses and people were dependant upon the castle; and a ‘Market Centre’ where people depended on the trade of the market. The twin is St Leonard’s Church.
