This plack commentates the reopening of fingallians (as they are known locally) clubhouse in september 2000 after a fire burned the previous one down in November 2000. Fingallians is a GAA club which supports the various indigenous sports found in Ireland such as Gaelic football, hurling and camogie, GAA clubs have been central to communities through out the country of Ireland, and like the village pub,churches and (rapidly disappearing) village post office are what provides community in Ireland
