Provo City Centre LDS Temple

The historic Provo tabernacle was destroyed in a fire in 2010. Construction is under way to restore and renovate the building and grounds. Once completed the restored tabernacle will serve as the Provo City Centre Temple. Early in the reconstruction process the entire building was put on stilts so a basement could be dug underneath it. This construction technique lead to it being referred to for a time as "The Floating Temple."
