This piece of the Berlin wall that separated East and West Germany is loaned to KSU by Senator Chuck Clay, grandson of General Lucius D.Clay who served as Military Governor of Germany (1945-1949). This piece was given to Senator Clay by the Checkpoint Charlie Museum of Berlin to honor the memory of General Clay and to serve as a reminder of the friendship between the people of Germany and the United States.
