Saint Paul's Episcopal Church
Akron, United States
St. Paul's was founded in 1835, originally meeting in a private home. In 1844, the first church building was built, and the congregation expanded to larger buildings in 1884 and 1907. The present building was built in 1952 on land donated by the Firestone family, and has since expanded multiple times. It is now among the largest congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, with many diverse ministries, and was instrumental in the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous.
