G.V.F.Co Relic

Glyndon, United States

I can't figure out what this was. The "G" no doubt stands for Glyndon, the town where it is located. The water pump and trough might indicate it was a watering station, but it doesn't appear to be that old. Perhaps it was an early version of a fire hydrant and the key letters stand for Glyndon Volunteer Fire Company. Whatever it's purpose was is lost on most passers by today.
