Chester Ochs Park

Largo, United States

Chester Ochs was the original owner of this property. He started beekeeping in 1919. After World War II, he bought this land and established a grapefruit grove, along with his beehives. He sold his fruit and honey in the building still on this property, called the Honey House. In 1991, the land was donated to Pinellas County 4-H, part of the Pinellas County Extension service, and administered by the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS).
