Welcome to the Klienstuck Preserve

Welcome to the Kleinstuck Preserve This 50 acre tract of land was donated to the State Board of Education in 1922 by Mrs. Caroline Kleinstuck in memory of her husband, Carl G. Kleinstuck. Her dream was to have this unique area preserved for all to learn from and appreciate. The property was then transferred to Western Michigan University with the adoption of the 1963 constitution by the People of the State of Michigan. Along the trail you will find more informative plaques. They were developed by the middle school students at the Kazoo School in conjuction with WMU. We hope you will both enjoy and respect the Kleinstuck Preserve.
