World's first train robbery performed during a non war time era. Performed on October 6, 1866 at 6:30 pm for a total of $10,000 from the Ohio & Mississippi Express. Plaque reads "One mile east of the intersection of railroads. In Seymour, John and Simeon Reno and Frank Sparks committed the "Worlds First Robbery". October 6, 1866 at 6:30 pm robbing the O and M Express car of $10,000."
