Bridge Over the River Clyst

The bridge over the River Clyst is thought to be the oldest standing bridge in Devon as it was first recorded in 1238. It was a key crossing point during two battles; one in 1455 during the Wars of the Roses and the other in 1549 during the Prayer Book Rebellion.
