Brookdale Community College Corn Crib

This is no ordinary passageway - it is a corncrib original to Brookdale Farm which flourished on the land that is now Brookdale Community College. Corncribs were storage compartments, elevated to discourage damage from pests. They were typically built with slanted walls and slats on the sides to allow airflow and keep the grain dry. This piece of Brookdale history is more than 100 years old!
