Tabernacle United Methodist Church has a rich history dating back to the civil war. This location is the second location for this old historic church. The church was original located at the intersection of Gordon Rd. and Harrison Rd. It became a hospital during the Civil War and was deliberately burned down due to and out-break of Small Pox. The church was then rebuilt in this new location.
