South Side(Top) - Erected 1883(Base) - FIVE FORKSEast Side(Base) - ANTIETAM North Side(Middle) - On Fames Eternal camping ground, their silent tents are spread, and Glory guards with solemn round the Bivouac of the Dead(Base) - GETTYSBURG West Side(Base) - WILDERNESS The Lewis County Soldiers' and Sailor's Monument is inscribed with the names of Lewis County residents who served in the American Civil War, and several of the battles in which they fought. Erected in 1883, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
