Beatrix Potter Blue Plaque

1866-1943 Beatrix Grandparents John and Jane Leech bought Gorse Hall Estate and built Gorse Hall mansion which was demolished in 1910. Born in London Beatrix in later life made several visits to her grandparents and recorded her fond memories of Gorse Hall. She later went on to write the famous Peter Rabbit book.
