This plaque commemorates the official opening of the Abbey Touring CaraTewkesbury by J.S.Cripps, Esq., van and Camping Site, Tewkesbury by J.S.Cripps, Esq., C.B.E, Chairman of the Countryside Commission on the 22nd July 1972 in the presence of the Mayor of Tewkesbury, Councillor Mrs M.R. Shepherd.
