Cosma Natural Area

Mendham, United States

Established as a natural area in October of 2013, the Cosma Natural Area is a protected, natural 13 acre wooded tract of land purchased in 1971 by the Mendham Borough Board of Education, for the purpose of a possible school site. In 2003, it was deemed unsuitable and was permanently leased back to the Borough as a public, natural area. This area provides space to hike, trek, run, and have a picnic, as the Borough's Department of Public Works continues to improve the entrance, add more native trees, and overall improve upon this great natural area.
