Only Warbler in the Eastern US to nest in a cavity hole. Breeds in bottom land forests in south eastern and central US - migrates to mangrove forests of Central and South America. Numbers declining do to habitat loss in breeding and wintering grounds. Feeds on insects and invertebrates. Nast formed from Moss and bark. Two broods (sets of eggs) per year. Young birds (Fledglings) can "swim" using their wings as oars.
