A manmade lake named after John Widaman, local attorney. Mr. Widaman was born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University Law School and then served 3 years with the FBI. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy during WWII stationed in the Atlantic. After the war he returned to Warsaw to practice law and raise his family of 3 daughters and 1 son. He and his wife were killed in Vietnam when the plane they were passengers on crashed.
