A carved bench by DNA was erected on the Mount Nounou East Trail on Christmas Day, 2011, marking the scenic lookout spot for viewing the head of the Sleeping Giant (Mount Nounou). Legend has it that a giant went to sleep after a large feast, never woke up, and became this mountain.
