Torphichen Arms Hotel

Historic public house. With the location of Mid Calder being an important turnpike on the main road to and from Edinburgh, many public houses were opened to cater for the traveler's of the stagecoach which stopped here. This is one such establishment, conveniently located across from where the former stagecoach stables once operated.
