Here at the heart of the valley in Sandon Beck lies Hanningfield Reservoir, helping to provide a steady supply of drinking water to homes and businesses throughout Essex. Every day 150 million litres of water goes through the water treatment works in Hanningfield which is enough to meet the needs of over one third of the demand for the whole of Essex
