This museum is housed in the Robert Morris Holmes house. The real portion was probably built in 1704 by John Cresse. The property was sold in 1776 and years later in 1830, erected the remaining portion of the house. This property has a rich history which includes Revolutionary War and Civil War Veterans, slave owners and saving the lives of shipwrecked sailors. The museum preserves the rich and diverse history of Cape May County for education, enlightenment and pleasure.
