Knox County Infirmary

Officially called the Knox County Poorhouse when built in the middle 1800's, this building housed the country's poorest citizens. Later, it was a privately run religious academy. Its last use before being condemned by the state was housing a haunted attraction named after what the locals call the building: The House of Nightmares.
