The Golfer is one of many characters made between 1963 and 1974 by Steve Dashew of International Fiberglass. The company made many versions based on the original mold, including cowboys, spacemen, indians, muffler men and golfers. The original mold from 1962 was by Bob Prewitt of Paul Bunyan for PB Cafe in Flagstaff, AZ prior to Dashew's purchase of the business.
